Privacy Policy

Markham Cricket Academy ("MCA", "we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through markhamcricketacademy.com, why we collect it, and how we protect it, in line with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
What we collect
- Player registration: player name, email, date of birth, phone number, and an emergency contact phone number.
- Contact form: your name, phone number, and message.
- Sponsorship enquiries: your name, email, phone number, company, sponsorship interest, and message.
We do not use advertising trackers or sell your information. We only collect what you choose to submit.
Why we collect it
- To process registrations and place players in age-appropriate programs (this is why we ask for date of birth).
- To contact you about sessions, schedules, and your enquiry.
- To reach someone in an emergency during academy activities.
- To respond to sponsorship and general enquiries.
We will not use your information for any other purpose without asking you first.
Children's information
Many of our players are under 18. Registrations for players under 18 must be submitted by a parent or legal guardian, who consents to the collection of the player's information on their behalf. If you believe a minor has submitted information without consent, contact us and we will delete it.
Photos and media
We may post photos of academy events, training, and matches on this website. If you would like a photo of yourself or your child removed, email us and we will take it down promptly.
Where your information is stored
Form submissions are stored using Google Firebase, a cloud service operated by Google. Your information may be stored or processed outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be subject to the laws of that country. Access is limited to authorized MCA staff.
How long we keep it
We keep registration information while the player is active with the academy and for up to two years after, unless you ask us to delete it sooner. Enquiries are kept for up to two years.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you or your child at any time. You may also withdraw your consent, though this may mean we can no longer provide our services.
